Make a global impact. With a great team. A cool culture. A healthy work-life balance. We have a complex, global supply chain and we need you to manage it!
We have a complex, global supply chain and we need you to manage it! You will develop component, kitting and supplier risk registers to inform prioritisation of CI work packages that deliver resilience to our production. You will work with the R&D team to evaluate their design selections, understanding fit, form and function performance criteria for components, with particular emphasis on electronics, to ensure a robust supply when new products are launched to market. You will lead gathering and formatting performance specifications, where not explicit on technical documents provided by manufacturers, and develop a resilience roadmap/mitigation strategy. You will support the R&D team in their component harmonisation strategy. You will lead with supplier relationships, specifically on the management of our consumables. Currently, outbound logistics is not part of our Supply Chain function, but a willingness to adopt this may be necessary in line with business needs
You will do this as a member of the Continuous Improvement Team which is new to Singer Instruments. You will support new product introduction by getting involved early in the design of new products to ensure R&D make informed and robust component and supplier selection decisions. You will work with CI engineers to assist in Design for Manufacture and VAVE programs, understanding component standardisations and performance specifications. You will automate our processes in manufacturing and information flows.
The work you do will help scientists in laboratories in over 50 countries accelerate their research efforts on global challenges such as cures for cancer and solutions for renewable energies.
